Job summary

Headway is seeking a Principal, Clinical Strategy and Execution to own how our clinical organization runs. You will lead governance infrastructure, establish scalable processes, and partner with Compliance, Operations, Data, and Product to ensure clinical outcomes align with company objectives.

You will manage program milestones, risk registers, and escalation paths, while ensuring clinical content remains under clinical leadership control and accountability for outcomes is retained.

Qualifications

• Active clinical license and 7+ years in mental health settings.
• Ability to build durable systems from scratch and manage complexity.
• Experience with clinical governance, policy work, audits or accreditation.
• Data-informed approach with ability to set baselines and targets.

Responsibilities

• Run clinical governance committee operations with charters, agendas, minutes, and actions.
• Own the clinical team's operating rhythm and cross-functional forums.
• Drive the OKR cycle end-to-end with data-backed targets and cross-functional resourcing.
• Manage the clinical policy lifecycle from intake to training handoffs.
• Oversee execution of clinical programs with milestones, dependencies, and metrics.
• Systematize risk register entries and coordinate audits with compliance.
• Serve as the primary admin interface between the clinical team and other departments.

Education

Active clinical license (LCSW/LPC/LMFT; PhD/PsyD; PMHNP-BC; MD/DO)
