Job summary

Caltech in Pasadena seeks an Executive Director of Advancement Communications to lead strategic philanthropy communications and donor storytelling across digital, print, and social platforms. You will shape messaging, branding, and engagement strategies to support major gifts and annual giving efforts.

Reporting to senior leadership, you will manage a small team, collaborate with frontline fundraisers, and oversee budgets, timelines, and external partners to deliver high-impact campaigns that

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree or equivalent with 7+ years in marketing or communications.
• Proven experience leading fundraising communications, marketing and creative services teams.
• Experience developing marketing/communications plans for major fundraising campaigns.
• Strong writing, editing, and presentation skills; knowledge of branding and identity guidelines.

Responsibilities

• Develop, implement, and monitor philanthropy communications and digital marketing plans to support fundraising initiatives.
• Lead and mentor a team to create gift announcements, impact stories, newsletters, proposals, and donor communications.
• Oversee vendors and external partners to ensure high-quality outputs and brand consistency.
