Rutgers University is seeking an Assistant Director Export Control and Research Security for the Office for Research. This role leads outreach, education, and quality assurance to strengthen research security and export control across Rutgers.

The ideal candidate will develop educational programs, engage stakeholders, and ensure compliance for federal funds, with opportunities for hybrid work and competitive benefits.

Qualifications

• Demonstrated experience developing educational programs, communications initiatives, stakeholder engagement strategies, or compliance‑related outreach programs.
• Experience with sponsored projects administration of federal funds, preferably in higher education.
• Ability to prioritize, plan and analyze and execute multiple export control activities.
• Ability to develop and give presentations to faculty, staff, and other groups on export control and research security.

Responsibilities

• Leads outreach, education, communication, and quality assurance initiatives related to research security and export control.
• Promotes awareness of federal regulatory requirements and responsible research practices across Rutgers University.
• Leads QA and continuous improvement for Research Security and Export Control programs, including monitoring and reporting.
