Qualifications

• Master's degree in a STEM field is required.
• At least 5 years of progressively responsible experience in research and grant development.
• Experience with complex grants, centers or institutes in higher education or research administration.
• Valid driver's license with a motor vehicle record compliant with Driving for University Business SAP.

Responsibilities

• Lead strategic research development: identify funding opportunities aligned with institutional priorities; monitor sponsor trends; connect faculty with high-impact opportunities.
• Coordinate large-scale proposals: manage interdisciplinary, multi-investigator proposal development; establish timelines; facilitate collaboration; support federal and foundation proposals.
• Manage limited submissions and internal funding: administer limited submission processes, internal competitions, seed funding programs, ensure sponsor requirements are met.
• Conduct research intelligence and strategic reporting: monitor funding trends; analyze activity and funding data; provide insights for decision-making.
• Support faculty development and engagement: provide workshops, training, and individualized support to strengthen grant development and competitiveness.
• Strengthen research development infrastructure: develop and maintain tools/resources; improve processes; supervise staff.
