Job summary

AskBio Inc. offers a secondment opportunity for an Associate Director, Process Development in the Cell Line & Process Development team at the BioPoint facility in RTP, NC.

The role focuses on SME activities for novel rAAV vector platforms, evaluating new cell lines, and developing end-to-end production and purification processes. The position requires a Master’s degree with at least eight years of relevant experience, strong cross-functional leadership, and expertise in AAV biology and QbD

Qualifications

• Master’s Degree in a scientific or engineering discipline with extensive relevant experience.
• PhD preferred in a related field; strong publication/patent record is a plus.
• Experience leading cross-functional teams of researchers and engineers.

Responsibilities

• Lead a team of Research Associates and Scientists in viral vector process development and tech transfer.
• Oversee end-to-end platform development for novel rAAV producer cell lines; apply DOE/QbD to optimize.
• Coordinate GMP cell bank qualifications and materials for vector production.
• Partner with MSAT on lifecycle management of clinical program manufacturing.
• Develop and maintain internal transfer documents and regulatory submissions.
