Job summary

Mastery Schools in Philadelphia seeks an Assistant Director of Multilingual Learners (ADoML) to coordinate instructional initiatives for multilingual learners across campuses. The role involves coaching, data analysis, professional development, and ensuring compliance with federal/state policy.

The position offers a starting salary between $96,000 and $107,500 based on education and experience, with a $3,000 signing bonus and relocation assistance.

Qualifications

• Demonstrated expertise in multilingual learner and bilingual service models.
• Proven ability to use data-driven instruction to support student achievement.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
• Experience developing instructional and compliance manuals and other supplemental documents.
• Expertise in training others to implement research-based practices for multilingual learners.
• Experience developing Language Instruction Educational Plans (LIEPs) and/or other state-mandated plans.

Responsibilities

• Coach Assistant Principals to develop ESL teachers and multilingual learner supports.
• Coach ESL teachers to implement evidence-based teaching practices.
• Manage a team of central ESL teachers providing services to multilingual learners.
• Coordinate school to central office communication and feedback systems.
• Develop systems to inform central offices about ELD policy implications for LEAs.
