Job summary

Dexcom in San Diego seeks an experienced attorney to serve as Lead Legal Counsel. You will provide strategic legal support for venture investments, strategic collaborations, and other complex commercial transactions, drafting and negotiating sophisticated agreements while coordinating across functions.

You will manage transactions end-to-end, partner with business leaders, outside counsel, and internal teams, and advise executives on risk and deal structure.

Qualifications

• JD from an accredited law school.
• Active California Bar in good standing or eligible for in-house status in California.
• 8+ years of transactional legal experience in top-tier law firm and/or in-house.
• Experience with venture investments and strategic transactions.

Responsibilities

• Provide strategic legal support for Dexcom’s venture and other complex commercial transactions.
• Lead drafting, review, and negotiation of investment, collaboration, licensing, development, commercialization, and other documents.
• Manage transactions from structuring through execution and closing deliverables.
• Partner with stakeholders across the organization and coordinate with outside counsel as needed.
• Advise executives on risk, structure, and pragmatic solutions to enable strategic objectives.
