Job summary

Hawaii Medical Service Association is seeking a Manager, Ancillary Products & Programs in Hawaii for strategic leadership and hands‑on execution of the ancillary product and program portfolio (dental, vision, life, disability, supplemental benefits, and health programs).

The role combines day‑to‑day product work with setting portfolio direction, ensuring financial and operational performance, and serving as a market‑facing consultant to Sales, Account Management, and employer clients.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree plus five years of related work experience or equivalent.
• One year of leadership experience.
• Strong oral and written communication skills.
• Intermediate proficiency with Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, PowerPoint, Teams).

Responsibilities

• Define and execute the ancillary portfolio strategy and roadmap, owning assigned products and benefits.
• Lead development, maintenance, and implementation of new products and enhancements.
• Manage ancillary programs from design through implementation and optimization.
• Coordinate with Marketing, Sales, Operations, IT, Legal, Compliance, and AMS for configurations and launches.
• Draft, review, and approve product documentation.
• Monitor portfolio performance, vendor performance, and financial impact.
