NHS Dumfries and Galloway is seeking a dynamic leader to steer the Alcohol & Drugs Partnership, coordinating senior health, social care, and community partners to improve outcomes for individuals and families affected by substance use.

You will develop and evaluate the ADP strategy, ensure governance, and drive improvements across services in line with national priorities and best practice, with a strong focus on reducing inequalities.

Qualifications

• Significant experience in a senior strategic leadership role within health, social care, or public sector partnerships.
• Strong knowledge of alcohol and drug policy and public health approaches.
• Proven ability to lead multi-agency partnerships and deliver complex change programmes.
• Excellent communication, influencing, and stakeholder engagement skills.
• Experience of financial management and governance at a senior level.
• A commitment to reducing health inequalities and improving outcomes for vulnerable populations.

Responsabilités

• Provide strategic leadership for the Alcohol & Drugs Partnership across Dumfries & Galloway.
• Lead the planning, delivery, and performance management of the ADP strategy and associated programmes.
• Manage allocated budgets and ensure effective governance, reporting, and accountability arrangements.
• Work collaboratively with partners across health, social work, third sector, police, and community organisations.
• Ensure services are evidence-based, person-centred, and aligned with national policy and best practice.
• Provide expert advice on substance use issues to senior stakeholders and partnership boards.
• Drive innovation and continuous improvement to reduce harm and promote recovery.
