Xcel Energy in Denver seeks a Manager, Policy for Strategic Large Customers to shape policy direction and regulatory strategy across jurisdictions. You will develop recommendations, coordinate with senior management, and prepare testimony for regulatory proceedings and hearings.

Responsibilities include advocating policies, preparing comments, and collaborating with regulators and internal teams to advance growth with strategic customers and data centers.

Qualifications

• BA/BS in business, economics, engineering, natural sciences or related discipline.
• Five to seven years or equivalent experience in regulatory or policy field.
• Specific experience in dealing with regulatory agencies required.
• Occasional overnight travel and extensive overtime required.
• Must be able to use PC software such as Word and Excel. Fluency in artificial intelligence tools helpful.

Responsibilities

• Determine policy direction alternatives and develop recommendations for regulatory and legislative strategy.
• Support growth strategy for strategic large customers and data centers.
• Develop external messaging with communications teams and prepare testimony when needed.
• Interact with regulators and stakeholders to advocate company policies across jurisdictions.
• Direct preparation of written comments, testimony, and briefing materials.
