Job summary

ERM seeks a Managing Consultant, Landscape Architecture to lead environmental impact assessments, land planning, and permitting for major energy and infrastructure projects in North America. You will coordinate with GIS, visual simulation and technical experts, delivering defensible analyses and client-ready reports.

The role requires licensure, a landscape architecture degree, 5–10 years of experience, and proficiency in AutoCAD and Adobe CS.

Qualifications

• BA/BS in Landscape Architecture or related field plus 5–10 years of landscape architecture experience.
• Valid licensure as a Registered Landscape Architect.
• A digital portfolio available for review via a website, linked drive, etc.
• Proficiency with AutoCAD, Adobe Creative Suite, and related software.
• Proven success managing project scopes, schedules, budgets, and client relationships.
• Driver's License Required: valid license and/or ability to operate a company vehicle due to travel to client locations.
• This position is not eligible for immigration sponsorship.

Responsibilities

• Lead and contribute to environmental impact assessments, land planning, facility siting, and permitting for large-scale energy and infrastructure projects.
• Produce, manage, and review Visual Impact Assessments (VIAs) and related technical deliverables.
• Coordinate and integrate work from multidisciplinary teams to ensure technical accuracy and regulatory compliance.
• Serve as a task manager or project manager, overseeing budgets, timelines, and quality standards.
• Mentor technical staff and foster a collaborative, high-performing project environment.
• Conduct site visits and maintain direct client communication to support successful project delivery.
