Job summary

Sekisui House U.S., Inc. is seeking an experienced land acquisition coordinator to support acquisition, entitlement, and land development across communities.

Under limited supervision, you will manage documentation, workflows, and project milestones, acting as a liaison between internal teams, consultants, municipalities, and external partners. The role also mentors junior staff, assists with due diligence, and helps implement process improvements to boost efficiency.

Qualifications

  • High school diploma or equivalent.
  • 3–5 years of land coordination or related experience.
  • Experience in the homebuilding, real estate development, or land acquisition environment preferred.
  • Familiarity with permitting, entitlement, or due diligence documentation.

Responsibilities

  • Oversee and coordinate the preparation, review, routing, and filing of land acquisition and development documents, including contracts and permits.
  • Maintain and manage project trackers, sequence sheets, reports, and databases.
  • Support due diligence activities by organizing materials and coordinating site visits.
  • Serve as liaison with consultants, municipalities, utility providers, and internal partners.
  • Coordinate flow of documentation, applications, bonds, and approvals with regulatory agencies.
  • Assist in contract and invoice management, including documentation collection and coding.
  • Support preparation of presentations, maps, project summaries, and leadership reports.
  • Schedule and coordinate meetings, inspections, site visits, and consultant activities.
  • Review project documents for accuracy and compliance; escalate nonroutine issues.
  • Provide mentorship and training to junior staff.
