Job summary

D.R. Horton, Inc. seeks a Land Acquisition Analyst to support the Land Team in sourcing and contracting land for residential development. Responsibilities include researching site characteristics, analyzing zoning, GIS data, and maintaining land sales data to inform deals.

The candidate will assist with contracts, attend meetings with sellers and brokers, and learn negotiation of land and lots, contributing to the company’s growth.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree from a four-year college or university.
• One year of related experience and/or training.
• Familiarity with land acquisition, land development, real estate, and/or GIS research.

Responsibilities

• Investigate site characteristics, including zoning and land use compatibility.
• Identify land leads through brokers, engineers, and GIS data.
• Monitor UDO/LDO and infrastructure projects.
• Maintain a database of land sales data and deals.
• Assist with contract prep documents and milestone tracking.
• Attend meetings with sellers, brokers, and developers.
• Learn to negotiate and contract land and lots.
• Assist Market Analyst to identify competitors.
• Conduct business ethically to serve customers and company's goodwill.
