Pacific Gas and Electric Company seeks a Senior Labor Relations Partner to guide leaders in managing a union-represented workforce across Bakersfield, Eureka, and Salinas. Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in human resources management, business administration or related discipline or equivalent work experience.
• 4 years’ experience in Labor Relations/Industrial Relations or related HR work experience.
• MS, MA or JD in Labor Relations, Industrial Relations, or Human Resources (preferred).
• Strong written and verbal communication skills.
• Analytical and organizational skills.
• Ability to build and maintain working relationships.
• Ability to research, compile and analyze data and present findings.

Responsibilities

• Provide strategic labor relations consultation to leaders, Centers of Excellence, and business partners.
• Exercise sound judgment in complex labor and employee relations matters by evaluating precedent and contract provisions.
• Advise leaders on attendance, conduct and performance management, investigations, and progressive discipline.
• Translate negotiated agreements into clear, practical implementation guidance for leaders and administer local agreements.
• Research and provide timely guidance on collective bargaining agreement interpretation and requirements.
• Counsel leaders on staffing, mobility, and compliance matters including job bidding and transfers.
• Partner with experts to support represented-coworker matters involving fitness for duty, accommodations, and DOT requirements.
• Build and maintain productive relationships with union representatives and resolve grievances.
• Create and maintain accurate grievance and partnership records; support first-step resolution.
• Support Ethics and Compliance by managing represented-coworker cases from assessment to resolution.
• Coach and train leaders on leading a represented workforce and facilitate trainings.
• Collaborate across functions on site-specific and enterprise labor initiatives.
