Job summary

Republic Services is seeking a Senior Manager, Labor & Employee Relations to steer labor relations strategies across the organization. You will guide field management, train teams, and oversee a Labor Relations staff while strengthening communication between employees and the company.

The role requires deep NLRA knowledge, union campaign experience, and the ability to travel up to 75%. Fluency in English, Spanish preferred, with a track record of handling complex employee relations issues.

Qualifications

• Minimum 7 years of progressive HR generalist or labor relations experience implementing labor strategy and campaigns.
• Experience managing or significant involvement in union election campaigns.
• Thorough knowledge of NLRA and related federal/state laws.
• Bi-lingual English and Spanish preferred.

Responsibilities

• Direct labor relations guidance to leadership and field management.
• Develop and manage labor relations education and training programs.
• Supervise Labor Relations team and build employee communications.
• Address employee concerns and advise on management responses to grievances.
• Support representation campaigns, elections and related matters.
• Travel up to 75% as needed.
