Job summary

Housing Authority of the City of Los Angeles is seeking an IT Project Manager to plan, coordinate, and execute IT projects across the organization. You will oversee the full project lifecycle, work with IT leadership, and ensure alignment with HACLA’s mission and goals.

The role requires PMP certification and at least five years of experience managing complex IT projects. Strong analytical, communication, and vendor-management skills are essential for success in this position.

Qualifications

• Education: Bachelor’s degree in a Technical or Engineering field, or Business Administration with technical coursework.
• Experience: Five (5) or more years of progressively responsible experience managing complex IT projects.
• Special Requirement: Project Management Professional (PMP) Certification required.

Responsibilities

• Lead the full project lifecycle (planning, analysis, design, implementation, testing, integration, and maintenance) of information systems and related initiatives.
• Scope projects by determining project requirements; conduct business analyses; identify risks and perform risk assessments; document requirements; develop high-level project plans; define critical paths; provide cost estimates.
• Manage business and project team expectations, including issue tracking, change requests, updated requirements, and final project reviews.
• Oversee concurrent development and implementation of existing and new IT systems and components.
• Develop and manage project schedules; monitor progress to ensure adherence to scope, budget, and timeline.
• Prepare and maintain business cases, scopes, functional requirements, IT development standards, and project documentation.
