Job summary

Socket.dev seeks a Senior IT Project Manager to lead the PRiMES PMO, overseeing planning, execution, and delivery of government IT initiatives. You will coordinate with COR, Government Technical Manager, product owners, developers, and stakeholders to ensure on-time, within-budget results.

The role requires strong federal IT project management, SDLC knowledge, Agile/Scrum delivery, and excellent client-facing communication to bridge business processes with technical solutions.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree or higher in Statistics, Computer Science, Mathematics, Information Technology, Systems Engineering, or a related field.
• 10+ years of experience in software development project planning and management.
• Experience managing IT projects in Agile development and Scrum team environments.
• Excellent client-facing and internal communication skills.
• Strong ability to bridge business processes and technical solutions.

Responsibilities

• Serve as the single management focal point for execution of PRiMES tasks.
• Provide project planning, direction, coordination, and management support for operations, maintenance, enhancements, releases, documentation, testing, and training.
• Manage project plans, schedules, milestones, risks, issues, dependencies, and deliverables.
• Ensure tasks meet cost, schedule, quality, and performance requirements.
• Drive teamwork and ensure task completion among team members.
• Support Agile/Scrum development activities, sprint planning, backlog coordination, release planning, and status reviews.
