Job summary

The City of El Paso Texas is seeking an entry-level project management professional to oversee small IT projects through their lifecycle. Under supervision, you will coordinate cross-functional teams, liaise with stakeholders, and support the department with testing and reporting.

Applicants should have a degree in Information Systems (or related field) with PM experience, plus a valid Texas driver’s license and CJIS background clearance within six months.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree or higher in Information Systems or related field with 2 years of PM experience in an IT environment.
• Associate's degree in Information Systems or related field with 4 years of PM experience in an IT environment.
• Valid Texas Class “C” Driver’s License or equivalent from another state by date of appointment.
• CJIS fingerprint-based background check within the first six months of hire and CJIS eligibility requirements.

Responsibilities

• Coordinate assigned projects and meet stakeholder expectations.
• Consult with managers or technical experts to clarify expected results.
• Identify objectives and deliverables for projects and monitor progress.
• Develop plans to communicate with stakeholders and prepare status reports.
• Track budgets and expenditures and administer project contracts.
• Maintain clear communication with project team members and stakeholders.
• Perform related duties including research, reporting, and project lifecycle support.
