Job summary

Garmin International in Lenexa, KS is seeking a full-time Program Manager 1 IT to lead programs comprised of multiple related IT projects aligned to strategic objectives. You will guide planning, execution, risk management, and cross-functional collaboration across IT and business teams.

The role requires strong leadership, stakeholder negotiation, and the ability to translate business needs into actionable project plans while delivering clear status updates to executives.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Science, IT, MIS, Business or related field with 9+ years of experience.
• Experience managing projects using Agile or hybrid frameworks with cross-team coordination.
• Demonstrates Garmin-specific project/program management principles and standards.
• Proven track record delivering technology solutions.
• Understanding of Garmin’s business model across Engineering, Operations, Finance, Sales & Marketing.

Responsibilities

• Manages programs across multiple teams and related projects toward common objectives.
• Owns program execution from planning through delivery and removes blockers.
• Mentors junior IT Project Managers.
• Delivers program status to executives and stakeholders.
• Maintains accurate project plans, timelines, risks, and dependencies.
