Job summary

Garmin Ltd. seeks an experienced Program Manager 1 IT for our U.S. headquarters in the Greater Kansas City area. The role oversees programs spanning multiple related IT projects, ensuring planning, execution, and delivery align with strategic objectives.

You will drive progress, manage risks, and provide guidance to project teams including IT and business resources. A strong track record in technology solutions and cross-functional collaboration is essential.

Qualifications

Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Management Information Systems, Business or related field and a minimum of 9 years relevant work experience OR equivalent combination of education and relevant experience.
Experience managing projects using Agile or hybrid frameworks with cross-functional teams.
Demonstrates mastery of Garmin-specific project/program management principles and industry standards.
Proven track record in successful implementation of technology solutions.
Strong understanding of Garmin’s business model across Engineering, Operations, Finance, Sales & Marketing.

Responsibilities

Manages programs/projects across multiple teams and stakeholders, including planning, management and execution of related projects.
Owns program execution from planning through delivery; drive progress and remove blockers.
Identify/manage issues and interdependencies across the portfolio.
Mentor less experienced IT Project Managers and drive project documentation quality.
