Job summary

The University of Miami Information Technology & Systems Department seeks a full-time IT Portfolio Manager to oversee programs and projects within the portfolio. You will collaborate with IT PMO leadership, report to the Executive Director, and align initiatives with strategic priorities while balancing capacity and demand.

You will assess, document, budget potential projects, monitor portfolio health, and participate in change management and staff training.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in a relevant field.
• 7+ years of relevant experience.
• Experience optimizing operations.
• Ability to lead teams and manage change.
• Knowledge of financial oversight.
• Strong communication skills.
• Proficiency with common software applications.

Responsibilities

• Develop and implement portfolio management best practices.
• Manage the lifecycle of cross-department initiatives and projects.
• Collaborate with the PMO to review requests, assess priority and advise executives.
• Coordinate with the IT leadership to report portfolio health and budget.
• Provide portfolio performance presentations to Executive Steering Committee.
• Oversee change control and risk management; ensure governance.
