The University of New Mexico is seeking an Information Technology Officer (ITO) to coordinate IT services for Enrollment Management, Student Affairs, SHAC, GEO, and CIO teams. You will lead technology planning, security, and service delivery to support student success and university operations.

As a key IT liaison, you will promote cybersecurity, data stewardship, accessibility, and compliance while shaping enterprise solutions across distributed locations.

Qualifikationen

• Bachelor’s degree; at least 5 years of progressively responsible work experience directly related to the duties and responsibilities specified.
• Experience managing IT projects, coordinating server and application upgrades, and supporting or implementing cloud-hosted applications and services.
• Knowledge of information security standards, FERPA, HIPAA, GLBA, PCI DSS, and related regulatory requirements.
• Ability to lead collaboration across teams, departments, and multiple locations.

Aufgaben

• Serve as the principal IT liaison and technology advisor for the divisions listed, collaborating with leadership, faculty, staff, students, and central IT resources.
• Provide strategic leadership and coordination for IT services across supported organizations, including technology roadmaps and budget planning.
• Oversee ongoing operation, lifecycle management, and modernization of departmental technology resources.
• Coordinate opportunities to improve student-facing and administrative services through technology and data-driven decision making.
• Participate in evaluation, planning, implementation, and support of systems enabling admissions, financial aid, scholarships, registration, and student services.
• Coordinate information security, privacy, risk management, and compliance activities across the organizations.
