Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree; at least 5 years of progressively responsible work experience directly related to the duties and responsibilities specified.
• Completed degree(s) from an accredited institution that are above the minimum education requirement may be substituted for experience on a year for year basis.

Responsibilities

• Serve as the principal IT liaison with senior administration, faculty, staff, and students in the OVPR and RCIs to understand client needs and collaborate across the organization.
• Direct, coordinate, and participate in local implementation of UNM IT operations, projects, and programs to align IT services with OVPR and research enterprise needs.
• Advocate for and lead development of new IT services in support of research, eliciting requirements and managing service development and SLAs.
• Develop and manage a model for shared IT services within OVPR units and RCIs; supervise and mentor IT staff.
• Support cybersecurity assessments within OVPR units, applying IT security principles and audits across the research community.
• Lead development of IT services for research, including requirements, best practices, and deployment.
