Addison Group is partnering with a mission-driven nonprofit in Washington, DC to appoint an Interim IT Director who will own technology strategy, cybersecurity, and infrastructure. This hands-on leadership role requires strategic thinking and the ability to work alongside a small, close-knit team.

Qualifications

• 10+ years of progressive IT experience including at least 6 years in a managerial role.
• Experience leading technology in a complex organization with strategy, cybersecurity, enterprise systems, infrastructure, budgets, or vendor management.
• Working knowledge of cloud/SaaS environments, IAM, and cybersecurity operations.
• Strong communication skills able to translate technical concepts for both technical and non-technical audiences.
• Collaborative, low-ego leadership style with hands-on willingness when needed.

Responsibilities

• Develop and execute a multiyear technology roadmap aligned with the organization's mission and priorities.
• Serve as trusted advisor to COO and leadership on technology investments, cybersecurity, data governance, and emerging tech.
• Establish transparent processes for technology decision-making and change management.
• Lead, coach, and develop the IT team and foster an inclusive, accountable culture.
• Oversee cybersecurity program, identity and access management, MFA, endpoint protection, incident response, and DR/BC tests.
• Oversee infrastructure, cloud services, networks, devices, and core enterprise systems.
