Oakland University seeks an IT Financial/Budget Analyst in the IT Business Operations department to lead financial planning for University Technology Services and coordinate with technical units to support strategic budgeting and cost management.

Responsibilities include developing budgets with the CIO, tracking expenditures, allocating IT resources, managing grants and financial reporting, and collaborating with procurement and project coordinators to meet department needs.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in finance, accounting, business administration, or related field or equivalent experience.
• A minimum of two years in a financial role involving accounting, budgeting, cost analysis, forecasting and reporting.
• Strong proficiency with spreadsheets (MS Excel, Google Sheets) and data analysis tools.
• Experience with data analysis and budgeting software; excellent Microsoft/Google Workspace skills.
• Ability to analyze contracts and renewals; strong communication and confidentiality.

Responsabilités

• Coordinate with CIO and IT leadership to develop the UTS budget.
• Track expenditures and ensure purchases align with budget constraints.
• Develop resource allocation plans for IT departments.
• Oversee cost management, proposals, grants, and financial reporting.
• Collaborate with IT procurement, project management, and coordinators to address needs.
• Support risk management by assessing financial risks and forecasting.
• Balance monthly ledgers and provide long-term cost projections.
