Job summary

BMO U.S. seeks an experienced audit leader to develop and execute an annual audit plan, aligning with client strategies and risk appetite. You will manage resources, lead audit teams, and deliver independent assurance on controls and governance to the Board and senior management.

The role requires deep expertise in analytics, AI applications in audits, and strong communication with cross-functional stakeholders in a hybrid Chicago office.

Qualifications

• Typically 10+ years of relevant experience and a post-secondary degree or equivalent.
• Professional designations such as CISA, CISSP, CIA, AAIA, AWS/Azure Cloud Certifications.
• AWS/Azure Cloud Auditing experience preferred.
• Strong knowledge of using Audit Analytics and/or AI in Audit execution.
• Verbal & written communication skills – in-depth/expert.

Responsibilities

• Develops the annual audit plan aligned to client strategies and risk.
• Leads audits and directs execution, delivering clear audit reports.
• Provides independent assurance on internal controls, risk management and governance.
• Manages resources and mentors team to meet strategic goals.
• Collaborates with stakeholders to align audit scope and prioritize activities.
