Job summary

Dell Mission Operations seeks a Security Engineer to design, implement, and sustain secure solutions in a classified environment. This role embeds security into system design, hardening platforms, supporting authorization activities, and resolving vulnerabilities in partnership with engineering and operations teams.

The ideal candidate brings strong technical depth in security engineering and the ability to translate requirements into practical, auditable controls.

Qualifications

• Experience in security engineering, cybersecurity architecture, or secure systems integration.
• Experience with RMF, STIGs, hardening standards, and vulnerability management.
• Knowledge of Windows, Linux, network, or platform security concepts.
• Ability to document technical controls and support accreditation efforts.
• Strong troubleshooting and cross-team collaboration skills.
• Active TS/SCI and ability to maintain access as required by the program.

Responsibilities

• Engineer security controls into systems, infrastructure, and integration workflows.
• Support RMF implementation, accreditation, and authorization activities.
• Perform hardening, secure configuration, and STIG compliance actions.
• Assess vulnerabilities, coordinate remediation, and verify corrective actions.
• Produce and maintain technical security documentation and artifacts.
• Support system assessments, control validation, and audit responses.
• Partner with platform, network, and operations teams to improve security posture.
• Recommend technical improvements that reduce risk without disrupting mission execution.
