The ideal candidate has 8+ years in investment management, strong leadership, and a track record of improving workflows, client proposals, and portfolio execution while partnering with senior leadership.

Qualifications

• 8+ years in investment management, wealth management, or financial services with progression into leadership
• Strong understanding of portfolio construction, investment strategies, and portfolio management operations
• Experience managing/overseeing a team responsible for client proposals, portfolio analysis, or investment operations
• Proven ability to lead cross-functional teams and work with senior leadership, advisors, and compliance
• Excellent communication skills translating investment concepts for advisors and clients
• Strong organizational and project management skills with multiple priorities
• CFA designation or progress toward CFA charter (preferred)
• Experience with compliance teams on investment policy development and oversight (preferred)

Responsibilities

• Lead, develop, and manage a large team across Portfolio Strategists, Investment Implementation, and Investment Operations
• Build and refine the Portfolio Strategist coverage model across regions
• Set performance expectations and accountability frameworks for all teams
• Oversee end-to-end revenue enablement and proposal processes with accurate client proposals
• Manage initial trading and transition of client portfolios onto Sequoia's investment strategies
• Oversee ongoing portfolio management including trade execution and rebalancing
• Maintain and improve workflows, controls, and documentation for compliance and efficiency
• Develop tracking mechanisms to monitor portfolio risk and discretionary activity
• Drive continuous improvement in investment implementation processes with scalable workflows
• Collaborate with compliance and leadership on policy development
• Support hiring plans and growth of teams to align with operating model
