Job summary

Riverdale Mills Corporation in Northbridge, MA, seeks an experienced Inventory/Materials Planner to optimize material flow and drive on-time delivery while minimizing costs. You will build a master production schedule for coating lines, collaborate with manufacturing and purchasing to improve lead times, and oversee cycle counts for accuracy.

The role requires a Bachelor’s in a related field and 3–5 years in inventory control, with APICS or similar certification preferred.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in a related field.
• 3–5 years of experience in inventory control or planning.
• APICS or other planning certification preferred.
• Strong understanding of capacity planning and finite scheduling.
• Experience with advanced planning systems and tools.
• Solid inventory management skills and analytical abilities.
• Proficiency with Windows and Microsoft Office; strong communication.

Responsibilities

• Meet material requirements and manage flow to prevent shortages.
• Create and maintain a master production schedule to meet demand.
• Drive improvements in lot sizes and lead times with purchasing.
• Oversee cycle counts and improve inventory accuracy.
• Direct transfers of materials to meet schedules and shipping needs.
• Review excess/obsolete inventory and disposition methods.
• Communicate production status to maintain inventory levels.
• Lead safety stock calculations for materials and FG.
• Support forecasts and inventory requirements to meet demand.
• Collaborate with Sales, CS, Production to resolve issues.
• Conduct demand forecasting and participate in new product introductions.
