Job summary

Lowe’s Home Centers, LLC is seeking an Associate Inventory Planner in Mooresville, NC to develop and manage inventory plans across merchandise categories. You will analyze demand, sales, and supply data and collaborate with Merchandising, Replenishment, Supply Chain, and Finance to optimize in-stock levels and promotions.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in a related field or equivalent experience.
• 3+ years of experience in retail, manufacturing, or supply chain.
• 2+ years of experience in inventory planning, replenishment, merchandise planning, demand planning, or assortment planning.
• Working knowledge of inventory-management concepts (demand forecasting, safety stock, service levels, inventory turns, weeks of supply, lifecycle).
• Demonstrated analytical and problem-solving skills with data interpretation and recommendations.
• Experience using inventory-planning, replenishment, forecasting, ERP, or other supply-chain systems.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Excel, including pivot tables, lookups, and large data analysis.
• Strong written and verbal communication; ability to explain analyses to partners.
• Ability to collaborate across Merchandising, Supply Chain, Finance, Operations, and other functions.
• Strong organizational and time-management skills.

Responsibilities

• Develop and maintain inventory plans for assigned categories to support sales and in-stock targets.
• Evaluate forecasts and inventory scenarios; validate assumptions and advise actions.
• Oversee inventory performance, prioritize exceptions, adjust planning strategies.
• Maintain planning targets, safety stock, service levels, and planning parameters.
• Partner with Merchandising, Replenishment, and Supply Chain for promotions and launches.
• Collaborate with Replenishment to ensure plans are executed across stores and DCs.
• Provide inventory analysis to support lifecycle decisions and transitions.
• Investigate complex exceptions and improve planning processes.
• Translate insights into actionable recommendations for leadership and partners.
• Monitor performance and adjust assumptions based on results.
