Job summary

Lowe’s Companies, Inc. in Mooresville, NC is seeking an Associate Inventory Planner to develop and execute inventory plans for assigned merchandise categories.

You will analyze demand, sales, and supply data to identify risks and opportunities and support inventory decisions across stores and distribution centers. Collaborate with Merchandising, Replenishment, Supply Chain, Finance, and Store Operations to optimize promotions, assortments, and product transitions.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in a related field or equivalent experience.
• 3+ years in retail, manufacturing, or supply chain.
• 2+ years in inventory planning, replenishment, or assortment planning.
• Strong Excel skills with pivot tables and data analysis.
• Experience with inventory-management concepts (safety stock, service levels).
• Experience with ERP or supply chain systems.
• Excellent written and verbal communication; cross-functional collaboration.

Responsibilities

• Develop and maintain inventory plans for assigned categories.
• Evaluate forecasts and inventory scenarios; validate assumptions.
• Oversee inventory performance and adjust planning strategies.
• Maintain targets, safety-stock, service levels, and planning parameters.
• Collaborate with Merchandising, Replenishment, and Supply Chain on promotions.
• Ensure inventory plans are executed across stores and DCs.
• Translate insights into clear business recommendations.
• Communicate inventory insights to leaders and partners.
