Job summary

Rivian is seeking a Staff Analyst, Inventory Optimization in Irvine, CA. You will analyze complex datasets to optimize inventory levels across the service parts network, manage stock parameters, and maintain target fill rates while minimizing costs.

You’ll lead optimization projects with substantial autonomy and partner with planning teams. The role requires strong analytical abilities, inventory management knowledge, and experience with advanced planning tools and ERP systems.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in a related analytical field is required; Master’s preferred.
• 3–5+ years in inventory management or supply chain planning.
• Experience with demand forecasting, inventory modeling, and statistical analysis.
• Proficiency with ERP systems (SAP/Oracle) and advanced planning software.
• Advanced Excel skills incl. pivot, formulas, Power Query, macros.

Responsibilities

• Refine inventory parameters across the distribution network using Servigistics to improve planning outputs.
• Lead scenario and what-if simulations to drive strategic decisions and financial performance.
• Develop inventory allocation strategies to optimize forward deployment and reduce fill-rate gaps.
• Monitor performance, investigate deviations, and create dashboards for stakeholders.
