Job summary

TARTA is seeking an Inventory Manager to oversee inventory control functions, maintain equipment records, and administer the quality receiving unit. This role supports Maintenance within a rebuilt organization and aligns with the 2026 Strategic Plan toward operational excellence and customer focus.

The position requires strong knowledge of inventory systems, supervision, and cross-department collaboration, with travel to multiple facilities as needed.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree or equivalent combination of education and experience.
• 2+ years in senior/lead inventory roles in a bus maintenance environment preferred.
• Experience with maintenance and material management systems desired.

Responsibilities

• Evaluate material requisitions to determine stocking levels.
• Develop and revise inventory control system requirements for material availability.
• Plan and oversee capital and material inventory projects.
• Oversee material planning of operations inventory.
• Prepare reports and present information to other departments.
• Represent department management in meetings with clients and suppliers.
• Oversee inspection of inventory items for compliance with procedures.
• Maintain and update computerized parts catalogs and data.
