Job summary

Do it Best, based in Fort Wayne, Indiana, is seeking a Supply Planner to maximize profits through demand forecasting and optimal merchandise purchases. You will play a key role in inventory turnover and customer service interactions within the Supply Chain division.

Responsibilities include ordering vendor products, monitoring service levels, collaborating with the Demand Analyst, and managing JDA Fulfillment Master Data to ensure smooth operations and accurate stock levels.

Qualifications

• Relevant experience in retail or home improvement industry.
• Inventory planning or management experience.

Responsibilities

• Order vendor supplied products into Retail Service Centers and monitor status daily.
• Monitor service levels and turns to maintain appropriate inventory levels.
• Initiate initial order quantities and discount pricing with new vendors.
• Collaborate with the Demand Analyst to troubleshoot and adjust out-of-stock items and communicate with Merchandise Manager.
• Review plan analysis and validate suggested order quantities on regular and promotional items.
• Communicate out-of-stock recovery information to membership via email or phone.
• Work with inventory control to expedite needed product.
• Coordinate with merchandising, retail logistics, and finance to resolve mis-shipments and shortages/overages.
• Manage master data in JDA Fulfillment (Network, Transmode, SKI, Sourcing, etc.).
