Job summary

Lakeland is seeking an Inventory and Cost Accounting Specialist to maintain inventory and costing records, support standard cost processes, reconcile balances, and provide clear financial visibility across our manufacturing operations.

This role partners with Accounting, Purchasing, Operations, and Supply Chain to investigate discrepancies, analyze variances, and strengthen cost-control procedures, while supporting month-end and year-end closes and ensuring GAAP-compliant reporting and accurate

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
• Strong knowledge of GAAP related to inventory valuation and cost accounting.
• Experience with standard costing and variances.
• Proficiency in ERP systems and Microsoft Excel for data analysis.

Responsibilities

• Maintain and reconcile inventory records between physical inventory, subledger, and GL.
• Analyze PPV, manufacturing variances, material usage and overhead variances.
• Assist in month-end and year-end close related to inventory costs.
• Support inventory reserves and costing master data in the ERP system.
• Collaborate with Operations, Supply Chain, Purchasing, and Accounting to improve data integrity.
