Job summary

Lakeland is seeking an Inventory and Cost Accounting Specialist to maintain inventory and costing accuracy across manufacturing operations. You will support standard cost processes, analyze variances, and sustain cost visibility within Lakeland’s ERP system.

Collaborating with Accounting, Purchasing, Operations, and Supply Chain, you will investigate discrepancies, update costing data, and strengthen internal controls. Effective month-end close support is required.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field and CPA/CMA preferred.
• At least 3 years in inventory or cost accounting within manufacturing.
• Strong knowledge of GAAP related to inventory valuation and costing.
• Experience with standard costing, variances, and monthly close processes.
• Proficient in ERP systems and advanced Excel for data analysis.

Responsibilities

• Maintain and reconcile inventory records to ensure accuracy and integrity.
• Analyze purchase price variances, manufacturing variances, and cost data.
• Prepare inventory reserves and support period-end close activities.
• Validate costing data, BOM changes, and master data within the ERP.
• Collaborate with Operations, Purchasing, and Accounting to drive cost-control.
