Job summary

Amgen seeks an experienced Internal Meetings Manager for U.S. Commercial to lead planning, budgeting, and execution of national meetings, POAs, launches, and leadership events. The role ensures compliance with Global Meetings Policy and partner/vendor management across the portfolio.

This individual contributor role requires travel about 30-40%, collaboration with cross-functional teams, and fluency with CVENT and data-driven budgeting. Amgen values collaboration and compliance.

Qualifications

• Doctorate, Masters, Bachelor’s, Associate, or High School diploma/GED with relevant corporate event management experience.
• Experience in life sciences or highly regulated industries is preferred.
• Experience managing corporate events, budgets, and vendor programs.

Responsibilities

• Lead planning and execution of U.S. Commercial internal meetings and events.
• Serve as trusted advisor on policies, planning, and best practices.
• Manage outsourced suppliers to deliver compliant, cost-effective services.
• Collaborate with business leaders and sponsors to support objectives.
• Drive standardization, efficiency, and continuous improvement across programs.
• Support change management and technology adoption.
• Utilize CVENT and data insights for budgeting and planning.
• Oversee budget, forecasting, and resource planning.
• Ensure branding, audit readiness, and policy adherence.
• Identify efficiencies through automation and digital solutions.
