Job summary

Amgen is seeking an Internal Meetings Manager, U.S. Commercial, to lead planning and execution of internal meetings across the U.S. Commercial organization. This role oversees strategy, budgeting, risk management, and vendor partnerships to deliver high-quality, compliant events.

The position requires collaboration with cross-functional partners and travel, reporting to the GMM Sr. Manager, U.S. Region. A strong background in corporate event management within life sciences is essential.

Qualifications

• Doctorate degree required.
• Master’s with 2 years corporate event management in life sciences.
• Bachelor’s with 4 years corporate event management in life sciences.
• Associate’s with 8 years corporate event management in life sciences.
• High school diploma and 10 years corporate event management in life sciences.

Responsibilities

• Lead planning and execution of US Commercial internal meetings with strategy, compliance and budget goals.
• Advise stakeholders on meeting policies, planning and best practices.
• Manage outsourced suppliers for quality, compliance and cost-effectiveness.
• Build partnerships with leaders and sponsors to support objectives.
• Drive operational excellence, standardization, and continuous improvement.
• Support change management, process improvements, and tech adoption.
• Use CVENT and data insights for budgeting, compliance, planning optimization.
• Oversee supplier performance, resource planning, forecasting, and budget mgmt.
• Ensure branding consistency, documentation, audit readiness, and policy adherence.
• Identify efficiencies via automation and digital solutions.
