Job summary

Meijer, a family company, seeks an Internal Communications Manager to lead strategy, tactics and execution while supervising the communications team and elevating internal messaging across the organization. Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree and strong written and verbal communication skills.
• At least seven years in corporate communications with supervisory experience.
• Ability to develop and execute internal communications plans.
• Strong project management and cross-functional collaboration.

Responsibilities

• Support senior manager in development and execution of internal communications plans for company initiatives with significant growth impact.
• Develop partnerships within the organization to enhance integration and support internal programs.
• Serve as secondary internal communications liaison to senior leaders and cross-functional teams.
• Provide editorial support and guidance on corporate messaging.
• Develop strategies to evolve internal communications tools, including digital channels.
• Implement solutions to improve/replace communication tools (email, portals, newsletters).
• Lead internal communications strategy and align with external communications.
• Communicate corporate goals to 70,000+ team members across six-state market.
• Lead stores publications and executive messaging support to keep teams aligned.
• Manage Fresh Ideas program and coordination with vendors.
• Coordinate with outside vendors for special projects.
• Other duties as assigned.
