Job summary

Black & Veatch seeks an experienced Strategic Communications Manager to drive internal communications strategy and messaging across the organization. You will support content development, editorial planning, and coordination of assets while measuring engagement and applying insights to improve effectiveness.

The role collaborates with executives and HR/Marketing for planning and events, supporting enterprise-wide communications in a hybrid work environment.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in communications or public relations; 6+ years progressive experience, including 2+ years supervisory.
• Experience in the Engineering & Construction industry or B2B space with proven comms strategies.
• Proficiency with Adobe Creative Suite, SharePoint, Teams and other collaboration tools.
• Ability to translate complex technical information to diverse audiences.
• Strong editorial, written and verbal communication skills; strategic messaging expertise.

Responsibilities

• Develop and lead internal communications strategy and messaging to increase employee engagement and clarity.
• Create and deliver content across channels: email, newsletters, intranet, videos, presentations.
• Coordinate with executives to ensure messaging aligns with business objectives and culture.
• Identify and implement tools to enhance internal communications effectiveness.
• Monitor and measure engagement; analyze data and report insights to leadership.
• Maintain an enterprise content calendar for timely, relevant communications.
• Collaborate with HR and Marketing on planning for meetings and events.
• Support editorial planning and long-term scheduling of communication initiatives.
