Job summary

The Interior Design Planning Specialist at The Ohio State University Wexner Medical Center assists in enabling the Interior Design, Environmental Graphics & Signage & Wayfinding teams to work strategically with project teams for clinical, academic, and research facilities. The role supports planning, design, and construction on furniture, renovations, and new builds.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in design, planning, or graphic related disciplines, or equivalent experience.
• Proficiency in AutoCAD and Revit; experience with Adobe Creative Suite (Illustrator, Photoshop).
• Experience with Bluebeam, Acrobat, Word/Excel/PowerPoint; familiarity with Microsoft Project or PM software.
• Excellent verbal and written communication; ability to manage multiple tasks, schedules and budgets.

Responsibilities

• Support planning, design, and construction staff on facilities projects (furniture, renovation, and new construction) and restoration of facilities.
• Provide scheduling assistance on internal project teams and with outside Associates.
• Assist with capital planning, space planning, programming, costs and estimating, standards, purchasing, and database management.
• Prepare presentations, reports, project intake, and document project activity.
• Coordinate field surveys, furniture orders, and installation vendor coordination.
• Maintain regular dialogue with OSUWMC Supply Chain, IT, and Facilities Operations staff.
