Job summary

CFS in Mishawaka, Indiana seeks an experienced Controller to lead all accounting operations on-site. The role blends daily oversight of GL, AP, AR, and payroll with strategic financial planning and process improvements.

You will partner with executive leadership to drive accurate reporting, budgeting, and internal controls, while mentoring staff and strengthening systems. This is a hands-on, leadership-focused opportunity in a stable organization.

Qualifications

Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or Finance; CPA preferred but not required.
5–10+ years of progressive accounting experience with leadership responsibility.
Strong knowledge of GAAP and financial reporting.
Experience with ERP systems (NetSuite, SAP, Great Plains, QuickBooks Enterprise).

Responsibilities

Oversee accounting operations including general ledger, AP, AR, and payroll review.
Manage month-end, quarterly-end, and year-end close processes.
Prepare and review financial statements and management reporting.
Ensure GAAP compliance, internal controls, and audits.
Support budgeting, forecasting, and cash flow management.
Partner with leadership on financial analysis and process improvements.
Oversee accounting systems and recommend efficiencies or upgrades.
