Job summary

HRB is seeking an experienced Interim Chief Financial Officer for a well-established nonprofit in the United States. This remote‑with‑occasional in‑office role requires strategic financial leadership during a transition.

The ideal candidate brings 10+ years in nonprofit finance, CFO/VP Finance experience, and hands‑on Sage Intacct expertise. You will oversee budgeting, forecasting, GAAP compliance, grants, and reporting to the CEO and Board.

Qualifications

• 10+ years of progressive financial leadership experience including CFO/VP Finance roles.
• Significant nonprofit accounting and finance experience.
• Experience with nonprofit financial statements, budgets, audits, grants, and reporting.
• Strong Excel and financial analysis skills; able to present to Boards.

Responsibilities

• Provide interim financial leadership and oversight for the organization.
• Oversee budgeting, forecasting, cash-flow management, and reporting.
• Ensure GAAP compliance and nonprofit accounting standards.
• Manage grants, restricted funds, and Board reporting.
• Support audits and strengthen internal controls; mentor staff.
