Job summary

Capital One in McLean, VA seeks a senior platform engineering leader to design, implement, and govern the enterprise Google Workspace and Microsoft 365 collaboration platforms. You will align product, risk, and technical teams to translate business objectives into secure, scalable configurations and data-handling policies.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in CS, Eng or related quantitative field.
• 6+ years designing cross-platform or cloud integrations.
• 5+ years API-based integrations using scripting/orchestration tools (AWS Lambda, Step Functions, MuleSoft).
• 4+ years automating system configuration or data workflows.
• 4+ years architecting, administering, and securing large-scale Google Workspace or Microsoft 365 environments.
• 1 year of monitoring, observability, and automated remediation for integration reliability.

Responsibilities

• Design, document, and maintain enterprise Google Workspace platform.
• Design, document, and maintain enterprise Microsoft 365 platform.
• Partner with Product and Risk to translate objectives into configurations and data handling policies.
• Lead IAM strategy for Google Workspace/M365 including MFA, SSO, and context-aware access.
• Govern content management for Google Drive to prevent data leakage.
• Conduct risk assessments and security audits for third-party apps accessing Workspace data.
• Ensure regulatory and legal framework compliance through configuration and auditing.
• Collaborate with Legal, Compliance, and HR on data retention and eDiscovery.
