Job summary

Clearbrook Holdings Inc. seeks an experienced in-house attorney to provide legal advice and strategic counsel on property and casualty insurance matters, including regulatory compliance, market conduct exams, filings, and reinsurance agreements.

You will balance legal risk with business objectives, collaborate with the Legal and Compliance team, and support executives across the organization while maintaining the highest standards of ethics and integrity.

Qualifications

• JD degree from an accredited law school.
• Minimum 5 years of experience focusing on insurance compliance and regulatory work.
• Active and in good standing with a US bar.

Responsibilities

• Provide legal counsel on insurance regulatory compliance and market conduct.
• Review regulatory filings, rate and form filings, and holding company filings.
• Advise on strategic initiatives, products, and (re)insurance regulatory matters.
• Draft and negotiate intercompany reinsurance and MGA agreements.
• Conduct legal/regulatory research to ensure compliance.
• Monitor developments across jurisdictions.
• Collaborate with Legal and Compliance to mitigate risk.
