Job summary

Clearbrook Group Services Inc. is seeking a senior in-house attorney to provide strategic legal counsel on property and casualty insurance matters, including regulatory compliance, filings, reinsurance, and data privacy across admitted and surplus lines.

You will advise executives on business initiatives, draft and negotiate intercompany agreements, monitor regulatory developments, and partner with Legal and Compliance to deliver practical, consistent guidance company-wide.

Qualifications

• JD from an accredited law school and active US bar.
• Minimum 5 years of experience in insurance compliance/regulatory work.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills.
• Ability to interpret and apply insurance laws and regulations.
• Experience with regulatory filings and intercompany agreements.

Responsibilities

• Provide legal counsel on admitted and surplus lines insurance matters.
• Support regulatory filings and notices.
• Advise on strategic initiatives and (re)insurance regulatory issues.
• Negotiate intercompany reinsurance and MGA agreements.
• Monitor regulatory developments across jurisdictions.
• Collaborate with Legal and Compliance for consistent guidance.
