Qualifications

• Prior professional billing experience recommended.
• Knowledge of insurance/managed care including Medicare/Medicaid.
• Experience with electronic claims submission and follow-up.

Responsibilities

• Process incoming requests to bill manual and electronic claims.
• Verify patients’ insurance coverage and benefits.
• Bill timely, correct edits, follow up on unpaid balances, and appeal denials.
• Research billing references to review accuracy and ensure timely payment.
• Interact with patients, internal/external customers, and physicians.
