SGMC Health is seeking a competent Revenue Cycle Billing Specialist to process and follow up on medical claims. You will verify insurance coverage and answer billing questions from internal and external customers, ensuring timely and accurate billing for SGMC providers.

The role requires familiarity with Epic PB Resolute, CPT-4/HCPCS/ ICD-10 coding, and payer portals. Strong organizational and communication skills are essential in a busy healthcare setting located in Valdosta, GA.

Qualifications

• Prior professional billing experience recommended.
• Knowledge of insurance/managed care including Medicare/Medicaid.
• Experience with electronic claims submission and follow-up.

Responsabilités

• Process incoming requests to bill manual and electronic claims.
• Verify patients’ insurance coverage and benefits.
• Bill timely, correct edits, follow up on unpaid balances, and appeal denials.
• Research billing references to review accuracy and ensure timely payment.
• Interact with patients, internal/external customers, and physicians.
