Job summary

Southside Virginia Community College (SVCC) seeks a data‑savvy Coordinator of Institutional Research and Effectiveness to lead annual assessment cycles, support accreditation, and produce clear evidence from surveys and reports. This role collaborates with faculty and staff across campuses to strengthen student success.

The position requires building and maintaining dashboards, running analyses, and guiding program reviews while ensuring FERPA compliance and alignment with Aspire 2030: Pathways

Qualifications

• Experience with assessment of student learning in higher education.
• Knowledge of accreditation standards for institutional effectiveness.
• Ability to analyze quantitative and qualitative data.
• Experience writing SQL queries and Python for data extraction and reporting.
• Experience designing, administering, and analyzing surveys.
• Ability to manage multiple projects with fixed deadlines.

Responsibilities

• Coordinate the annual assessment cycle for academic programs and general education.
• Train faculty and unit leads to write measurable outcomes and use results.
• Coordinate assessment of general education competencies and draft annual reports.
• Support SACSCOC reaffirmation and accreditation reporting.
• Maintain evidence library and compliance tracker for accreditation.
• Design, administer, analyze, and report surveys and course evaluations.
• Write and modify SQL and Python to extract data and develop new reports.
• Coordinate data requests and support office operations.
