Job summary

New River Community College seeks an Associate Vice President of Institutional Effectiveness and Strategy to serve as a senior leader for institutional research, analytics, strategic planning, and data-informed decision making.

The AVP reports to the College President and collaborates with executive leadership to strengthen data governance, measurement, and forecasting across college initiatives. Expect travel within the region and evenings/weekends as needed.

Qualifications

• Master’s degree from an accredited college or university.
• Progressively responsible experience in institutional research, analytics, or related field.
• Ability to translate priorities into measurable, actionable plans.
• Experience working across organizational boundaries with multiple stakeholders.

Responsibilities

• Provide executive leadership for institutional research and analytics aligned with strategic priorities.
• Lead lean institutional effectiveness operations balancing compliance and strategic initiatives.
• Ensure timely submissions of federal, state, system, and accreditation reports.
• Lead data governance, definitions, quality standards, and practices.
