• Ability to problem solve independently, think analytically, and work in high-volume team environments.
• Proactive self-starter with ability to prioritize multiple tasks and respond to changing priorities.

This Strategic Initiatives Consultant position with the Florida Department of Agriculture and Consumer Services performs complex administrative work with regional and statewide impact, supporting department programs through business process analysis, data modeling, and organizational development. The role requires independent judgment in reviewing systems for compliance with state and federal laws, developing solutions to improve process efficiencies, and conducting statistical analyses for business process excellence initiatives. Reports to the Training and Research Manager and provides technical presentations to internal and external customers.

Key qualifications:

• High school diploma/equivalent plus 7 years of professional experience in systems analysis, management analysis, program planning, or related work; OR bachelor's degree plus 3 years of professional ex
• Valid Class E driver license required
• Knowledge of business analysis, Quality Assurance, and workflow tools; project management methodologies
• Excellent oral, written, and public speaking communication skills with facilitation abilities
• Ability to problem solve independently, think analytically, and work in high-volume team environments
